Tuckerman Ravine, NH

April 10, 2005

Near the Top of Hillman's Highway

A Blue Bird Day for my first tour into Tuckerman Ravine and first climb up Hillman's Highway. I quickly learned that the climb up is way more difficult than the descent down the gully. Hillman's was a safe option for a first ascent and descent of the Tuckerman Ravine area. My legs tired and my strength was depleted at the split near the top of the Gully. I settled for a two-thirds length run of the Gully on this excellent afternoon very uncharacteristic of the Presidential Range.
